This card won Top 3 at Totally Papercrafts!!!
I have some good news to share with you!!!! I have been asked to stay on as as a full time designer for Basic Grey Challenges!!! I was so excited, of course I said, "YES!!!" I love working with Basic Grey papers, and love the challenges these ladies do, so I am thrilled to continue to work with them full time!
When I think of Shabby Chi, I think of distressed white(ish) papers, so I was on the hunt through all my Basic Grey papers to find something I could use. I decided to mix it up, and used Basic Grey Curio and Jovial papers. I ran both of them through my Distrezz-it-All machine to really distress them good. Then I inked all the edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink I added a 6" Lace paper doily, which I scrunched up and also distressed with Vintage Photo for a very shabby look. I paired my papers up with a little scene I created with Magnolia stamps. I used Tilda in rain boots and Tulip Walkway. This week our theme is Shabby Chic. EASY PEASY!!!!!
I colored this image with copics
Skin - E000, E00, E11, R32
Hair - E57, E53, E50
Dress, Boots, and Hat - E40, E41, E42, E43, E44, R02, R01, R000
Tulips - R02, R01, R000
Tulip Walkway - G20, G24, YG63, YG03, E55, E53, E51
Sky/clouds - B0000, B91, W1, W3, 0
I added some wide vintage lace and a pink silk ribbon. Of course, I also added lots of Wild Orchid Flowers. I used a white gardenia, two-toned pink 25mm roses, light pink cherry blossoms, and two-toned yellow/pink 15mm roses.
I hope you will join us at Basic Grey Challenges for our Shabby Chic challenge I cant wait to see what you create!
