LaLa Land Challenge - Winter Wonderland

Its time for a new challenge at La La Crafts. This week the challenge is Winter Wonderland. I love this theme, as there are some super cute winter Marci and Luka images, it was hard to choose. I did finally choose Marci with Snowman, and I just love this image, too cute!

I used Basic grey Jovial paper for this card, I just love the cute snowman paper in the middle, it matched perfectly with this cutie snowman image. I stamped the sentiment from a Greeting Farm Stamp set, Warm and Fuzzy, that I have, and thought it matched perfect to Marci with her cute warm coat on. I then cut the sentiment out with my Doohickey Vintage Tag die, and tied some red ribbon through the hole.

I added a Doohickey tilda Lace border to the middle panel to give it some added interest. I also added a red silk bow and a large red wild rose from Wild Orchid Crafts. I love the way it turned out.

LaLa Land Challenge - Tearing

This week at LaLa Land Crafts, we were set with the challenge of Tearing. Well, one of my favorite things is distress, so this one was right up my alley. I LOVE the papers I chose, Graphic 45. They are dark, but so much fun to work with. and they went perfect with this adorable new image, Jeanie Marci. I think she is my new fave! Just adorable.

I kept the embellishments kinda simple on this card, but I still really like the way it came out! I used White roses which I sprayed with Black Gold Glimmer Mist, then added mini white roses and a yellow rose to the arrangement.

LaLa Land Challenge - Center Step card

This week at LaLa Land Crafts, we were challenged to create a center step card. This is the first one I have made, and it was actually pretty simple to create, and makes such an amazing and interesting card! I love it.

I was thrilled to work with one of the new images just released at CHA, Princess Marci. I just LOVE her, isnt she amazing???!!!

I used Kraft as my base for the card and added some Pink Paislee paper to the center panel of the card, however only a small part of it shows behind the image, but still gives a finished look to the center panel.

I added pink silk ribbons and bows to the side panels, and think this adds such a feminine and pretty touch to the card. The flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts pink 25mm rose and chocolate brown 15mm roses. I also tucked a Prima Leaf sprayed with Olive Vine Glimmer Mist behind the arrangement. The sentiment, Princess, was printed out on my computer and mounted on Chocolate cardstock.

Happy Monday all!!! This is the week of Exciting news!!! (check back on Wednesday for more!)

So, let me begin today with a piece of exciting news.... I have been asked to stay on full time as a designer for LaLa Land!!! Yipppee, of course I said YES. I am thrilled and honored to be a part of this amazing team of wonderful ladies (and a gentleman!). Thank you so much, Irina, for asking me!!!

This week at LaLa Land, our challenge was an amazing sketch by Michelle. Go over HERE to check out the sketch, it is amazing! Here is my take on it using Marci with Rose, isnt she just a doll??!!!

I paired Marci up with these amazing Webster's Pages papers, I just LOVE the colors and patterns, they are just divine. I added a doily too, to give it an extra feminine touch with the lace, just so pretty.

I added Wild Orchid Flowers to my card as well. I used a white 25mm roses and two hot pink cherry blossoms. The butterflies were punched using my Martha Stewart Monarch punch.
I just HAD to finish off the inside of the card with more of the design paper, as it was just too cute! I finished it off with a cream silk ribbon and bow.

LaLa Land Challenge - A Touch of Red

I LOVE creating with red, so this was a super simple challenge for me. This week at LaLa Land Crafts Blog, our Design Team was challenged to create with just a touch of red. I wanted to stick with the turquoise color and give my card just what the challenge suggested, just a touch of red.

These Webster's Pages papers were the perfect choice, as they have the turquoise colors, but have just the slightest hint of red in the flowers and design. So pretty. I paired them up withFancy Marci, which was the perfect image for the feel that I was going for with this card. I wanted to the papers to be as fancy as this cutie image, and I think these are a perfect pair!

I cut my image out with Oval and Labels 10 Nesties. I added pearls to the outside layer of the image.
I used some Wild Orchid Crafts Vintage Seam binding in white, and dyed it with Red Velvet Glimmer mist to match the colors of the papers. I put a pearl brad through the center of the bow to make it stand out as an added touch. I also used some Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers on my card (of course!!! LOL). I used 25mm turquoise rose, red sweetheart blossoms, and cream aster daisies. I used my Martha Stewart Frond punch for the branches, and my Doohickey swirl die for the red cardstock swirl.

La La Land Sports Blog Hop and Creatalicious sketch challenge

It's also time for a new challenge at Creatalicious and this month we have a wonderful sketch for you to work with! So, I chose to use the sketch for this La La land blog hop card, and combine my two DT cards! LOVE when I am able to do that!!!

I got the opportunity to use Tennis Marci, isnt she just a doll. Now, I am NOT a tennis player, but I just thought she was so stinkin cute, I had to use her for my card. I paired her up with these amazing papers from K&Company, Sweet Nectar. I love the springy colors, they went great with this image.

The sketch at Creatalicious highlights these papers perfectly. I changed the sketch as bit, as the image just did not look right cut into a circle shape, so I chose to cut her in a rectangle to showcase more of the design paper. I added some Doohickey Tilda's Lace border to the image panel to make it stand out a bit and for added interest.

I added a light blue silk ribbon and offset the bow a bit to make sure not to cover the image at all. The sentiment was stamped from The Greeting Farm Anya Says stamp set, and I thought it matched perfect with this image. I stamped it on a Doohickey Vintage Tag and tied it at the top with some blue silk ribbon. I also added Wild Orchid Crafts flowers. I used light blue 25mm roses, two-toned pink cherry blossoms, and pink 15mm roses. I punched the butterfly out using my Martha Stewart Monarch punch.

LaLa Land Challenge - Buttons and Bows

This week at LaLa Land Crafts, our challenge is to use Buttons and Bows on our creations. I chose to work with this cutie image, Marci Ballerina. She is one of the older images, but she is just so stinkin cute, I had to use her this week!

I used Prima Sweet Fairy papers for this card. I love the soft blues in this paper stack, so beautiful. I distressed all the papers with Vintage Photo distress inks. I watched one of Suzanne Dean's coloring videos where she colored this image in blues. I loved it so much, I wanted to give it a try. I changed up the exact colors a bit, but tried to stick to her technique and color scheme. Suzanne is so amazingly talented, if you have not seen her work, you should definitely check her out. Thanks so much for the inspiration Suzanne!!!!

I added some turquoise ribbon and white buttons to go along with the challenge. I threaded some blue floss through the button holes to make them stand out a bit more. I also added some Wild Orchid Flowers to the card. I used a white gardenia which I lightly sprayed with wheatfields glimmer mist, turquoise cherry blossoms, pink 15mm roses, and blue Gypsophila stems.
I finished off the inside of the card with more of the pretty design paper and a bow. Very simple!

OMG, someone pinch me! I am SOOO excited to have been asked to join the LaLa Land team and the Summer Release Blog Hop today!!! I hope you enjoy this hop and all the creations along the way.

I chose Marci with Flower to work with for my card today. Isn't she just a doll??!!!! I made a circle easel card (my first one of this type, and I think I LOVE it!) to showcase Marci. I cut the Kraft base and design paper out on my cricut, and it was super easy to put together from there! I used Basic Grey Sultry design paper. I love the colors, so bright and warm for spring/summer cards. I scrunched up some white lace around the back of the top and bottom panels to give the card a super girlie feel!
I wanted it to look like Marci was working out in her garden, so I used my Doohickey Heart Fence die to cut the picket fence out of Kraft. Then I added lots of Wild Orchid Flowers. I used hot pink, green, and two-toned light pink 25mm roses, pink and yellow gypsophila stems, hot pink cherry blossom, and yellow and pink 15mm roses. Doesn't Marci have the most colorful, bright, gorgeous garden???!!!

I added a pink and white gingham ribbon and bow to both, top and bottom, panels. Then added more 15mm roses to the bottom panel as the anchor for the card to stand up on.
