I created this card with the challenge at Magnolia-licious Highlites in mind. The challenge for the beginning of this month is to create a shaker card. Now, I am not very skilled at making these, as I have only ever made a few. So, here is my take on that challenge.
I chose to stick with soft colors, shabby chic, if you will! I used Webster's Pages patterned paper for the design papers. I chose to stick with the color scheme of pink and yellow, as that is the challenge over at Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog. It is theie very first challenge at this new challenge blog, and I am very excited to join in the fun!I colored Cherry Tilda with copics :
Skin - E000, E00, R20
Hair - E53, E55, E57, E59
Shirt - Y11, Y13, Y15, R20, R22, R27, G24
Overalls - B91, B95, B97
Tights - R20, R22
Boots - Y11, Y13, Y15, R27, G24
I made used a sentiment stamp I had in my stash for the "I LOVE you" sentiment. I then mounted that patterned paper behind the cut out scalloped square frame, and added clear glass micro beads as the shaker part. I covered it with clear transperancy so that the beads are secure.
The roses I used are from http://www.iamroses.com, and I glimmer misted them with Vintage Pink and Lemon Zest to match the color scheme of the papers. I also added this pink bow and some pink and white pearl flourishes to the edges to finish off the card. I love how this card turned out, I hope you enjoy it too! Thanks so much for looking.
