DCD Christmas Club - DT - Snowflakes
Here is my card for this weeks challenge at DCD Christmas Club. OUr challenge this week was Snowflakes. I chose to use this cute Tilda with Bell. She looks like she all snuggled up for a cold wintery night, huh?
I followed the sketch over at Magnolia Stamp Lovers for the layout of this card. I did have to flip the sketch on its side, as my image was not horizontal, and it looked better this way.
I used a sentiment from our lovely Lynn, Thanks LYNNE!!!! This sentiment fit my card perfectly, and I love the icy look of it. I added Stormy Night Distress ink to the sentiment and to the nestie label #8 that Tilda is on, to match the card, and finished them both off with Silver Stickles for added sparkle. (as if this card needed any more sparkle) LOLI colored Tilda with copics (sorry for the shadow on this pic, it is late at night and my lighting is not perfect)
Skin - E000, E00, R20
hair - E53, YR20, Y11
Coat & hat- B60, B91, B21, B0000
Gloves, Boots, Pockets - W1, W3, W5, W7
Bell - Y11, Y13, Y15, R24, R27, R29
I added stickles in Frosted Lace to Tildas coat fur to give it just enough sparkle. Gold Stickles was added to the bell to give it TONS of shine!
I used some blue and white patterned paper I had in my stash. To be totally honest, it is NOT EVEN Christmas paper. I was trying to stick with the blue and silver theme of winter, and I do not have any blue Christmas paper left, so I had to dig!!!! But, I think it works, and you all would not even have known, right????? Look how great Lynne's Sentiment looks with this paper!!!
I cut some snowflakes on my cricut using my Christmas Cheer Cartridge. I cut them out on silver and white cardstock. Then I added Silver and Diamond Stickles to the top of them, they just were not sparkly enough!!!!! The blue and silver Christmas ribbon just tied it all together.
