LaLa Land Challenge - Pearls, Lace and Punches

This week at LaLa Land Crafts our challenge was Pearls, Lace, and Punches. I chose to use Dress Up Marci for this card, isnt she just a doll??!!!! I love her dress and hat, they are just too cute!!!!

I paired Dress Up Marci with some K&Company Julliene papers. I love the soft blues and browns in this paper pack, they are just gorgeous. Of course I added some white accents to make the colors pop. I used some white lace and a white silk ribbon as feminine touches.
I colored Marci with copics.

Pearls - B0000, Viva Decor Pearl Pen in White.
Of course, I used lots of Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers on this girlie card! I used blue 25mm roses and white and blue 15mm roses. I used my Doohickey Branch punch for the leaves in the flower arrangement. I also added a white and blue pearl stick pin to the arrangement, isnt it lovely! The finishing touch was the brown pearls I added to the top and bottom corners, just gives it a little added something!
I finished off the inside of the card very simply with more of the gorgeous design paper and a white silk bow!

Summer Time

Summer is definitely upon us here in Southern California. I am LOVING the hot days, and spending lots of time with the boys outside playing, swimming, having fun. Today we are heading out to the fair for a day of fun, rides, and food! Cant wait.

I have a fun summery card to share with you today.

I used papers from Webster's Pages, whihc I LOVE. Arnt those butterflies just gorgeous?? I paired them up with Tilda gone fishing. I think she is so adorable!
I colored Tilda with copics and Prismacolor pencils

I added Wild ORchis Crafts flowers, of course. I used white gardenia, yellow 25mm roses, orange cherry blossoms, blue gypsophilia stems, and yellow 15mm roses. LOVE them!!!
Here you can see a peek at the inside which was finished simply with more of the design paper and a yellow ribbon. I love how this card came out, so bright and cheery.

Isnt this week's sketch awesome! This week I got the opportunity to work with this amazing Kenny K image, Madison attitude. I think she is so stinkin cute, participating in my FAVE pastime, SHOPPING!!!!

I used October afternoon, Thrift Shop paper for this card. I love the vintage feel and designs of this paper, yet with bold colors. I thought the bold colors matched this image perfectly!
I colored this darling with copics.

I dotted silver Viva Decor Pearl Pen around the edges of the image as the sketch suggested. It is very soft, but gives the card a finished and polished look.

LaLa Land Challenge - A Touch of Red

I LOVE creating with red, so this was a super simple challenge for me. This week at LaLa Land Crafts Blog, our Design Team was challenged to create with just a touch of red. I wanted to stick with the turquoise color and give my card just what the challenge suggested, just a touch of red.

These Webster's Pages papers were the perfect choice, as they have the turquoise colors, but have just the slightest hint of red in the flowers and design. So pretty. I paired them up withFancy Marci, which was the perfect image for the feel that I was going for with this card. I wanted to the papers to be as fancy as this cutie image, and I think these are a perfect pair!
I colored Marci with copics.

Dress 0 BG75, BG72, BG10, R27, R24, R22, R29, W5

I cut my image out with Oval and Labels 10 Nesties. I added pearls to the outside layer of the image.
I used some Wild Orchid Crafts Vintage Seam binding in white, and dyed it with Red Velvet Glimmer mist to match the colors of the papers. I put a pearl brad through the center of the bow to make it stand out as an added touch. I also used some Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers on my card (of course!!! LOL). I used 25mm turquoise rose, red sweetheart blossoms, and cream aster daisies. I used my Martha Stewart Frond punch for the branches, and my Doohickey swirl die for the red cardstock swirl.

Small Gift

I have a new card to share with you today. I LOVE my new Magnolia papers from the Rainbow collection, and I just had to use them on this card. I love the different shades of pink together with the offset of the brown Kraft, such a gorgeous combo.

I paired these papers up with Tilda with Small Gift. Isnt she just a cutie! I love her dress and the shy expression on her face. I cut her out with my Beaded Ovals nesties to make her pop. I followed the sketch at Just Magnolia, and used lace and a dark pink satin ribbon.

I added lots of fun embellishments to the corner of my card. I used my Doohickey Swirl to cut the swirl from Kraft. I then added lots of flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. I used two-toned dark pink 25mm roses, two-toned light pink cherry blossoms, and 15mm light brown roses. I punched the leaves from my Martha Stewart Frond punch. I also added some pearl strands and pink gypsophila. I added some vintage pearl brads to all four corners of the card as well.
The inside of the card was finished off with more of the design paper (I do not have the heart to throw any of it away, I LOVE it too much!!!) and a dark pink silk ribbon and bow.

It's also time for a new challenge at Creatalicious and this month we have a wonderful sketch for you to work with! So, I chose to use the sketch for this La La land blog hop card, and combine my two DT cards! LOVE when I am able to do that!!!

I got the opportunity to use Tennis Marci, isnt she just a doll. Now, I am NOT a tennis player, but I just thought she was so stinkin cute, I had to use her for my card. I paired her up with these amazing papers from K&Company, Sweet Nectar. I love the springy colors, they went great with this image.

The sketch at Creatalicious highlights these papers perfectly. I changed the sketch as bit, as the image just did not look right cut into a circle shape, so I chose to cut her in a rectangle to showcase more of the design paper. I added some Doohickey Tilda's Lace border to the image panel to make it stand out a bit and for added interest.

I added a light blue silk ribbon and offset the bow a bit to make sure not to cover the image at all. The sentiment was stamped from The Greeting Farm Anya Says stamp set, and I thought it matched perfect with this image. I stamped it on a Doohickey Vintage Tag and tied it at the top with some blue silk ribbon. I also added Wild Orchid Crafts flowers. I used light blue 25mm roses, two-toned pink cherry blossoms, and pink 15mm roses. I punched the butterfly out using my Martha Stewart Monarch punch.

House of Gilli DT - Buttons

This week at House of Gilli, our challenge is to use buttons on your creations. I chose to use Stole Gilli. This is the first time I have used her, and I TOTALLY love her. She is so fancy and gorgeous, ready to hit the town in her fur!!!!

I used K&Company Julliene papers, I love the flowery patterns of them, so girly!! I added a light brown silk ribbon and bow and some lace to make it even more girlie! I love the brown color scheme, and thought that Stole Gilli looked great in brown shades to accent her fur stole and hat!!! The buttons I added are simple clear buttons which I tied brown floss through the center to make them pop and give added dimension.

I cut Gilli out with my Beaded Ovals Nesite, which I LOVE!!!

I finished off the inside of the card with more of the design paper and some silk ribbon and bow.
