This week at
Magnolia Mania the theme is distress. I LOVE these Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden papers, and they are the perfect papers to distress, I think. The colors and patterns are just gorgeous.

I used my Distrezz-it-all machine on all the paper around the edges, LOVE that machine, makes distressing so easy! I also used VIntage Photo distress ink to distress it all even further. I added a paper doily, which was heavily distressed with distress ink so that it would stand out behind the image. I chose Tilda playing hopscotch for my image, she is just adorable. I love this new Sweet rainbow collection, each and every stamp is so adorable.

I kept the colors very soft to match the papers. I used copics and Prismacolor pencils to color Tilda
Skin - E21, E00 E000, E0000, R20, R30
hair - E25, E31, E50
Dress - R01, R02, R00, R0000, G40, peach pencil
Shoes - E44, E43, E42, E40

I added some flowers to the card as well. I used a white gardenia, two-toned light pink cherry blossoms, cream aster daisies, and white 15mm roses which I sprayed with Vintage Pink Glimmer Mist. Then I added cream Petaloo Cantebury Vines. The butterflies were punched out using my Martha Stewart Monarch Punch and some of the design paper scraps.

I finished off the inside of the card with more of the distressed design paper. I also added some vintage seam binding, which I sprayed with Cherub Pink Glimmer Mist to give it color, then distressed with Vintage Photo distress ink.

I hope you will join us at
Magnolia Mania for the distress challenge this week.
