Strawberry Fields

This card won Top 3 at Sketch and Stash!!!

Well, here were in the start of summer vacation, and it is overcast and a bit chilly here in Southern California. :( My poor little boys have had swim class all week in the cold, and the pool is not very warm either, I have felt terrible for them. But, kids are resilient, so they are doing ok with it all.
I have a card today using some of my new Magnolia papers, Rutti Tutti. I have been WANTING these for a while now, and I finally ordered them with my last order from Magnolia-licious, and I have been wanting to use them. They are so delish and distressed, just amazing!!! I used the strawberry papers and the beige/white flourishes for this card, and also threw in Basic Grey June Bug papers for the red/white polka dots. I distressed all my layers with Vintage Photo distress ink. LOVE how this card came out.
I paired the papers up with Tilda with balloon and made a Birthday card to go along with the new challenge at TOMIC, to celebrate Pauline's (the designer of magnolia stamps) birthday. Happy Birthday pauline, thank you for adorable images to play with!!! Hugs!!!! I also stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from one of my Magnolia stamps and cut it in a banner form, also distressed with Vintage Photo distress ink.
I colored Tilda with copics.
Skin - E21, E00, E000, E0000, R20, R30
Hair - E27, E23, E53
Dress, Balloon, and Bow - R29, R27, R24, R22, W5
Socks - W1, W00
Shoes - E42, E40, E43
Shadow - W3, W5, W1, W00, B0000, 0
I cut Tilda out using my circle nesties, and distressed the edges with Vintage Photo.
I added lots of extra touches to this card too. I used my Doohickey Tilda Lace die for the borders, which I distressed with Vintage Photo. I added a red silk ribbon and put a gold flower brad in the center. I also added lots of Wild Orchid Crafts flowers to the card. I used a white Gardenia, 25mm white roses which I sprayed with Cherry Apple Red Glimmer Mist, and 15mm white roses. I also added some Maya Road green leaf stick pins and some punched green fronds from my Martha Stewart Frond punch. The pearl swirls are all cut up from a Prima pearl swirl embellishment.
I finished off the inside of my card very simply with more of the design paper and another red silk ribbon and bow. Dont you just love that strawberry paper? Too adorable!!! thanks so much for stopping by today, I appreciate every single comment!!!! Have a great weekend.
