Its time for a new challenge at Basic Grey challenges. This week we are challenging you to use stitching with your Basic Grey products. I chose to do faux stitching, as I love this faux stitching stamp I have from Crafty Secrets.
I used some Basic Grey Curio papers for this card. I love the combo of browns, red, and mint green. So pretty, yet Shabby Chic at the same time. I paired them up with one of my fave stamps, Tilda with Balloon. LOVE her!!!! I also use a Magnolia sentiment, A gift from the heart. Perfect pair!I colored Tilda with copics
Skin - E21, E00, E000, E0000, R20, R30
Hair - E25, E31, E50
Dress and hairbow- R29, R27, R24, R22, R21, BG13, BG10
Shoes - E25, E31, E50, R27
Socks - W1, W00
Balloon - BG13, BG11, BG10, BG0000
I cut Tilda out using my beaded Ovals nestie. I also put a faux stitching around the oval by hand.
I added a chocolate brown silk ribbon and bow, which I think sets the card off perfectly!!! I also used my Doohickey Doily flowers die to cut out some flower bases with chocolate cardstock. I then added some white 25mm Wild Orchid Crafts roses, which I painted with Candy Apple Red Glimmer Mist. The butterfly was punched using my Martha Stewart Monarch punch.
I hope you will join us at Basic Grey Challenges for our stitching challenge. I cant wait to see what you create!
