Addicted to Stamps DT - Sketch & Pile It On GDT - Smells LikeRubber

I love when I can combine a card for challenges for my design teams. It sure does not happen very often, so when it does, I say GO FOR IT!!! So, I have my DT card for Addicted to Stamps, which our challenge this week is an amazing sketch. I combined that with a card for Pile it On, as I am a Guest Designer for April. The theme this week there is Smells Like Rubber (no digi images). Thus, this is what I came up with!

I used K&Company Julienne papers for this card. I love the oft blues and browns of this pad, just perfect for spring like cards. I paired the papers up with this cutie image by Sarah kay, First Kiss. Isnt it just adorable??!!! LOVE it.
I colored these cuties up with copics.

I used some Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers as my floral embellishment. I used 25mm two toned blue roses, purple cherry blossoms, and 15mm light brown roses. I also added some pearls and a Doohickey Vintage Tag with the sentiment "Together Forever" from one of my Lili of the Valley sets. LOVE the way it went with this image.
The inside of the card is finished off simply with more of the design paper and a simple silk ribbon and bow.

Creatalicious DT - Easter!

I am SOOOOOO excited to be a part of the Creatalicious Design Team! This is my first post as a DT member, and I am just thrilled. Our challenge is to create anything Easter. I got to work with this adorable Bugaboo image, whom is our sponsor, and I just love this little cutie!

I used my Prima Sweet Fairy paper for this card. The pastel shades are perfect for Easter/Spring cards, and I thought they went perfectly with this cutie image.

I added some Wild Orchid flowers to my card. I used pink 25mm roses, purple cherry blossoms, and yellow 15mm roses. The pink satin ribbon is the finishing touch, along with some self-adhesive rhinestones.
The inside of the card is simply finished with more of the pretty design paper and pink silk ribbon.

Pink and green, Magnolia Style

I have been having such a blast playing with some of my new Magnolia Stamps, and I just could not resist inking up Tilda with Hawaiian Flower (one of my NEWEST purchases, shhhhh) and going with bright colors. I LOVE her, isnt she a doll. She just screams, Hawaii, tropics, VACATION. I am totally picturing tilda at a luau or getting ready for a beach party. LOL

I paired up Tilda with Hawaiian Flower with these yummy prima papers, Analee. I just love the colors of these papers, just gorgeous. I distress all the edges with my distress tool, and even tore some of the edges for further distress look. I printed out the sentiment, Sending Butterfly Kisses, from my computer onto Kraft cardstock and added some whinestones to make it pop.

I added lots of Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers. Hot Pink 25mm roses, whit 25mm roses which I used my copic airbrush to spray YG03 as I did not have any lime green flowers, and hot pink 15mm roses. I also punched out some Martha Stewart butterflies from hot pink paper and added some pink rhinestones. The pink gingham ribbon was added, then I put a lime green silk ribbon in the middle with a double bow tied with my Bow Easy.
I finished off the inside with more of the pretty design paper and ribbon. There is lots of room for a personal sentiment.

Easter Magnolia project!

I have been busy working on ideas and inspiration for this project for a few weeks now, and I finally finished it all up yesterday! Yipppeee. I LOVE the final product. I will be teaching this project at my advanced Magnolia class this saturday, April 16th, at the Stampin Post in Temecula, CA. Please come on out, there are still a few spots left. WARNING: This post is pictures HEAVY. Get a cup of coffee to view this one! LOL

I made this caaauuuttteeee little Easter Basket, and matching card. Isnt it adorable??!!! I totally love how it all came out. I used the Graphic 45 Once Upon a Springtime paper for this project. It actually only too 2 pieces of 12x12 paper to complete both projects, not bad huh? I added lots of girlie touches and embellishments to this project, and just love the warm sunny feel of it.
I got the idea of the Easter basket from Jacqui and followed her easy tutorial, and had this basket made in no time. She has some great tutorials on her blog, you should definitely check it out. Anywho, this basket was SUPER simple to make. I added some mini and regular size Magnolia stamps, which I got at Magnolia-licious. Magnolia-licious has the the best selection of Magnolia Stamps, along with superb service. For this project, I used Mini Two Eggs and Mini Little Bunny Tilda. I colored them with copics, then placed them over the brad that is holding all the pieces together. Then I punched out a butterfly using my Martha Stewart Monarch punch and added some rhinestones for added interest.

I used my Doohickey Doily flowers to punch out some flowers from the design paper. I layered them with a pink feather, and added a rhinestone to the center. Along the handle, I used my Doohickey Tilda Lace die, then added a cream silk ribbon along the center, with a bow on each side. I added some of the FAVE Easter candy into the basket, Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs. They are my FAVE, YUUUUMMMMM.

The matching card was SOOOO much fun to make. I adore these images, and just played with them all night, such a blast. I masked Beautiful Tilda from the new Butterfly Dreams collection with Stone Pathway from the same collection. (It looks like the Stone Pathway is out of stock right now, but I am sure that Diana has it on re-order, and it will be back soon.) I LOVE these two images together, they just fit so perfectly! I tried a new background technique too, making my own sky. I still need some practice, but for my first attempt, I think it turned out pretty good.

I added more punched butterflies from the paper collection, which I also glitzed up with Platinum stickles, and a Doohickey border from Tilda's lace. I also added a cream silk bow and more Doohickey Doily flowers. I used more of the design paper for the flowers, layered them, then added a Wild Orchid 15mm white rose center which I sprayed with Patina glimmer Mist to match the design paper. I then added Platinum stickles to edges of the flowers, they are very shimmery. I also stuck a pink feather behind the flowers to match the flowers on the basket.
The inside of the card is pretty simple. I used more of the design paper, and created a pocket. I then cut a tag with my Doohickey Vintage Tag die and stamped "Happy Easter" from a Hero arts stamp set. Them I used my mini Two Eggs stamp again to tie it in to match the basket. I think it turned out pretty cute!

Here is my card for this weeks sketch at Midnight Madness. I was so lucky to be able to use this Studio 313 image this week from our sponsor this month. I just love how stinkin adorable this image is.

I used my K&Company Sweet Nectar paper pad for this card. I love the bright colors, just perfect for a spring/summer card. I thought this image wwnt perfectly with these papers.

Here is the artsy view of the card. I added rhinestone swirls to the bottom corner, as the sketch suggests. I used a large prima flower as the floral peice, which sprayed with Cosmos Glimmer Mist, then layered a smaller pink polka-dot, and green prima flower on top.

DCD Christmas Club DT & Pile it On GDT

This week over at Die Cut Dreams, our challenge is to create a scene using a tilda stamp. PRETTY EASY, if you ask me. Also, I am pairing this card up with Pile it On, as I am Guest designing there is month, and the challenge is to Say it in Style. So, I chose to use the Winter Pond stamp with Tilda and Edwin Ice Skating, and I teamed it up with a winter circle sentiment which I added lots of bling to. So, two challenge cards, in one! :)

I used Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses paper pad. LOVE the soft wintery colors of this paper pad. The pinks and blues were perfect to match with Tilda and Edwin's clothes.
I colored this image with various copics. WAY too many to mention, as I used a TON to get the background to look the way I wanted. I added tons of stickles to the image also, for some added bling and sparkle.
The sentiment I used is from my DCD teamie, Lynn. Isnt it great? I added lots of stickles to that too, to go with the challenge at Pile it On. I love the way it looks with lots of sparkle.
Here is the artsy view of the card. I kept it pretty simple, as the image is the focal point, and there is not a ton of room left for added embellishment. I love these images together, and think that it looks better without a lot of added embellies.

Blue Tilda with Straw Hat

For some reason I am on a blue kick lately. I just LOVE my K&Company Julienne papers, and there is a ton of blue patterns in this stack, so that might be why. I used Tilda with Straw Hat from the new Butterfly Dreams collection, which I am just totally in LOVE with!!! I TRULY want EVERY SINGLE stamp in that collection, they are all so super adorable.

For this card I decided to make an easel card. I LOVE making them, they are super easy, and interactive for the recipient. I love these papers so much, and think they just go so perfectly together and coordinate for spring cards. Lots of flowers and pearls were added, which makes this card super feminine and pretty.
I used the Doohickey Doily Flowers die to punch out flowers from the design paper, then added some small 15mm Wild Orchid roses to the centers. I also added two 25mm roses. I glimmer misted the flowers with Vanilla Breeze Glimmer Mist to match the papers.
