Here is my card for this week's sketch. I chose to use the simple sketch, as the fancy was a bit too "girly" for this image. I also took the sketch and flipped it on its side in order to fit the arrangement of this image better.
This image is called "Hammock Harold" by Bonibleaux Designs, who is our sponsor this week. Doesn't he look so cozy! I chose to use my K&Company HUGE stack for this card, as I love the masculine paper selection it has. I always seem to struggle with masculine cards, as my hand automatically reaches for flowers and pearls. BUT, I am trying to create more "man" cards for my stash, and LOVE how this one turned out.
I used copics to color this dude up!
Skin - E00, E000
Hat - E40, E41, E42, E50
Shirt - E50, 0
Shorts and Flip-Flops - E43, E42, E40
Hammock - E40, C1, C3, C5
Background - BG10, G20, G21, G24, YG99
I hope you will come out and play with us this week at Midnight Madness. Cant wait to see how you interpret this weeks sketch!

Canvas Wall Hanging

Here is a wall hanging collage I made of my husband and I. I made this for our 5 year anniversary, with pictures of the two of us throughout the years.
I used a 12x12 canvas, and painted it first with espresso dabber paint. Then I used Graphic 45 Botanicabella Patterned papers as my background papers for each square, which is 3 3/4 x 3 3/4.
As you can see, there is a TON of distress, Tim Holtz ideology, Prima flowers, pearls, etc on this canvas. I chose to do each square individually, then piece it all together as a collage like look.

I am entering this project in the following challenges:
Simon Says - anything but for a card
A Spoon Full of sugar - Anything but a card

Mirror Mirror

This card made Top 3 at Make it Colorful!!!!

I LOVE Lili of the Valley stamps!!! I just got my first batch of them a few weeks ago, and I am totally in love with them. I had to ink this baby up, and create something with her, she is just too cute!!!! (sorry the pics look really dark, but these colors are actually GORGEOUS in real life)
I chose to try my hand at these new twisted easel cards, and they are super simple, and fun to make. I LOVE how it turned out. I used some Webster's pages papers, which is the perfect pairing for this cutie image.
Here is the just the front panel of the card. I followed the sketch over at Lili of the Valley Challenge blog, and just absolutely LOVE the way it turned out.
I got to use my new copic airbrush for the first time too, which was so much fun! I did not have flowers to match the colors of this card, so I used my airbrush and BG72 and E50 to color some white roses that I had in order to match the colors of the card. I then gave them a spritz of Diamond Dust Glimmer Mist for that added sparkle. I absolutely LOVE this new little tool, and will be using it a lot more in the future.
I colored this cutie up with copics
Skin - E00, E000, R20
Hair - E35, E31, E53, Y23, Y11
Dress - BG75, BG72, BG10, W5
Tights - BG10, BG000, E02
Shoes - E40, E42, E41
Mirror - E25, E27, E51, E53, W00, W1, B0000 (I also added some Stardust Stickles to accent the mirror glass)
Shadow - E50, W00, W1, W3
I used my Pearl Pen in cream to add to her pearls, I think it makes them look real, and they pop off the page!
For the inside panel, I used my Magnolia Doohickey Vintage Tag tag as the base for my sentiment. This is one of my FAVE sentiments from The Greeting Farm.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Make it Colorful - Shadow and Depth
Delightful Sketches - Get Punchy
Copic Creations - We're cool

DCD Christmas Club - DT -Dreaming of a White Christmas

At Die Cut Dreams, we have a new challenge for you this week. It is Dreaming of a White Christmas. The challenge is to use White and one other color. These types of challenges are always the hardest for me, as I never like my card when it does not have TONS of color. So, here is my attempt at white plus green.
I used some of my Christmas Paper from My Mind's Eye Sweet Dreams Holiday Avenue stack, which was perfect because the design paper was already white with green snowflakes. I then distressed all the layers with Shabby Shutters distress ink. The DT was given these great sentiment circles from our fellow DT lady, Lynne. Isnt it so great?
I used this cute! Tilda, Flying Angel Tilda. I thought she was just perfect for this card. I cut the image out using my Lacey Circles nestie, and again, distressed the center circle with Shabby Shutters. I also a bit of gold stickles to her wings for some added sparkle

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Totally Papercrafts - Clean and Simple
ABC Christmas - C is for Clean and Simple
                            Charisma Cards - Mythical/Fantasy

                            Bold LOVE

Here is my newest card! LOVE this sketch and color scheme, so festive for Valentine's Day. I chose to use the new Shy Rose Edwin for this card, isnt he just SOOO super cute??!!!!
I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday, and I totally LOVE it. I LOVE the bold color combo suggested by Magnolia-licious Challenge for this card. At first, I did not think that I would like it, but I absolutely LOVE it. I used patterned paper from my K&Company Huge stack, which was just perfect!!! I used some flowers from my stash, which also got the stickles treatment, and some black prima pearl swirls. The red pearls were also found in my stash, and I just love how they accent the black.
I colored Edwin with copics -
                            Skin - E000, E00, R02
                            Hair - E25, E31, E50
                            Shirt and shoes- W3, W1, W00
                            Pants - C9, C7, C3
                            Rose - G20, G24, R22, R24, R27
                            Background - G20, G21, G24, BG10
I added Stardust Stickles to the rose. I cut the image out with my Nesties, and distressed the entire image with Victorian Velvet Distress ink to match the design paper.
The inside of the card was finished off with some more of the design paper, and a black silk ribbon and bow.
                            Here is the artsy view!!!
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Magnolia-licious Challenge - Color challenge - Red, Pink, Black
7 Kids College Fund - I Heart you
                            Cupcake Crafts - Seeing red
Just Magnolia - Anything Goes with Ribbon
ABC Design team Challenges - Valentine's day
                            Copic Oz - Love
Allsorts Challenges - Must be LOVE

                            Old Time Love

Here is my newest card using Tilda with Tag. I just LOVE her, and think she is so versatile. Here I made another Valentine's card, using my Graphic 45 Springtime paper. I LOVE this paper. The muted colors and just gorgeous!!! I distressed all the paper edges with my distress tool, and even ripped some of the edges and stapled them down. I adhered some of the other design paper behind the ripped parts to bring in even more of the pink design.
I chose to stick with the pink and cream color scheme throughout the card. I used my Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Stain in Wild Honeysuckle Coral for a lot of the coloring of items to match the colors of this card. I LOVE this product!!!! It matches this paper perfect, and adds tons of sparkle to the items. I used it to color the ribbon, which was originally white, and the roses, which were also white. The pictures do not do this card justice, as the colors show a bit more muted in the photos.

I colored this cutie with copics -
                            Skin - E00, E000, R20
                            Hair - E25, E31, E50
                            Dress and Bow - R0000, R000, R01
                            Socks and Tag - E40, E41, E42
I added LOTS of little touches to this card as embellishments. The corners were cut on my cricut from the Storybook cartridge. I cut them with kraft cardstock, then covered them with Pink stickles. The heart is a piece of grungeboard that I coated with Antique Linen Crackle paint, then distressed with Walnut Stain distress ink, then topped it off with Glimmer Glam in Tutu Pink for added sparkle. I used a Tim Holtz Adage Ticket for the sentiment, which is popped into a Memo Pin and stick into the floral arrangement. I distressed the ticket with Victorian Velvet and Walnut Stain distress ink. I added Stardust Stickles to pretty much everything in this card, it is super sparkly.
The inside of the card I added some more of the design paper. I used a $1 stamp I got from Michaels, and some more Grungeboard hearts, which I dabbed with my coral Starburst Stain and covered with pink stickles. Then I cut the sentiment area out with my nesties.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
7 Kids College Fund- I HEART you
