Spring Hugs!!!

I am SOOO ready for Spring. Here is a card I created for a few challenges, and I will also be teaching this card class on March 19 at my local Stamp Store, The Stampin Post.
I used some of the new Graphic 45 paperline, Cirque. I just love the bold colors of this paper line. Although, I am terrified of clowns, so I will only use the papers that have plain patterns in this collection. I cannot even look at clowns without nightmares. LOL It is pretty terrible.
I used Tilda wants a Hug and Spring fence for this card. I masked the images together, and I just love the way they look. I tried a few new color combos on this image, and think they look great. I wanted to try to match the bold colors of the paper as much as possible.
I colored this image with copics -
Hair - C9, C7, C5, C3
Skin - E000, E00, E11, R20
Dress - E40, E41, E42, E43
Socks - E08, E09, E04, R22
Fence - W1, W00, W3
Grass - YG03, G97, G99, G20, G24
Here is the inside of the card. I kept it simple so a sentiment could be added later. It also showcases more of the gorgeous paper. I used my Tilda Lace Doohickey die for the lace border, LOVE that thing.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Pile it on - Tri-Fold
All That Scraps - Anything Goes
Delightful Sketches - Welcome Spring
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Pixie Cottage - Spring
Cute Card Thursday - Signs of Spring

Springtime Wishes

This card made top 5 at Magnolia Down Under!!!
This card made Top 5 at All that Scraps Magnolia Challenge!!

It is supposed to rain all weekend, and I am just so tired of the rain! UUGGHHH. So, I wanted to make a card that is cheerful, happy, and celebrates spring. So, here is what I came up with!
I made an easel card, so easy and so much fun to create. I LOVE these papers from Graphic 45, they are just so fun. Vintage, yet cheerful for a spring theme card. I love all the cherries, makes me think of picking fruit with my boys, one of my fave spring activities!! I distressed all of the papers with my Distrezz-it-all tool (LOVE that thing), and then distressed all the edges further with Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain Distress Inks. I used Tilda with Cherries for my image for this card, which matches the papers perfectly.
I colored up Tilda with copics:
Skin - E00, E000, E11, R20
Hair - E50, E31, E25, E27
Dress, Bandana, and socks - E40, E41, E42, E43, R27, R24, R22
Shoes - R29, R27, R24, R22, W5, W3, W1 ( I added Glossy Accents to make the shoes shiny and pretty)
Basket and Cherries - E27, E25, E31, E35, E50, E51, R27, R29, E24 (Diamond Stickles was added to the cherries for some extra sparkle)
Shadow and Background - W1, W3, W5, BG10, W00
Here is a close up of the details of the card. I added a flower arrangement using some Wild Orchids Crafts roses. I painted two 25mm white roses with Wheatfields Glimmer Mist. Then used a 25mm red rose and some cream 15mm mini roses. The swirl is a grungeboard swirl that I painted with Antique Linen Crackle Paint and then distressed with Walnut Stain Distress Ink. Tim Holtz Film strip was also added to the arrangement for a finishing touch. I added a charm to dangle from the bow, which I just love. It finishes off the card perfectly.
The inside portion of the card was done with more of the design paper and embellishments. The sentiment is a Greeting Farm stamp that I think is perfect for simple birthday sentiments.
Here is the artsy view of the front of the card.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
7 Kids College Fund - Calling all squares
Anything Goes - Distressing
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Birthday wishes
Magnolia Down Under - Distressing
Totally Tilda - How does your Garden Grow

Halloween Tilda Style!!!

This card won Top 5 over at Cupcake Challenges

Top 5

I have been so busy coloring and creating this past week, I am having a blast exploring the internet for ideas and inspiration!!! Here is my newest card creation.
For this project, I colored up Jolly Roger Tilda and Spooky Tilda. These two adorable ladies are ready in their Halloween best to go hit the town trick or Treating.
I used the sketch from 7 kids college fund and doubled up the stamps to fulfill the challenge requirements. This sketch was so much fun!!!!
I used a brown paper bag as the matting for the Graphic 45 design paper. The challenge at Magnolia-Licious Highlights was to use a paper bag in your creation. I love how the brown lunch bag accented the design paper and accented it against the black cardstock base.
I used pop dots to pop up the sentiment, "Boo", which is stamped using my Heidi Swapp letter stamps. I stamped it in black ink and then went over it in black stickles to add some bling. I also popped up both Tilda images to make them stand out against the patterned paper.
I used Copic markers to color in both ladies.
Spooky Tilda -

Skin - E000, E00, R20
Dress & Socks - V06, V04, V01
