Midnight Madness DT- MMSC97

Here is my take on this week's sketch at Midnight Madness. This week the DT got to work with LOVELY images from our sponsor, Priscilla Styles (our fearless leader!!). She has some fantastic images to choose from, check them out here. I LOVE this fan image, it was such a blast to work with. Isnt it gorgeous??!!!!!
I used Prima Moulin Rouge papers for this card. I love the rich, bold colors of this paper, it just screamed at me when I started playing with this fan image. They are both so sassy, dont you think?!!! LOL.
I colored this image with copics. I used a TON of colors, so I will just list the ones I used.
RV91, RV93, RV95, BG72, BG71, BG75, BG78, G20, G24, G21, C1, C3, C5, C7, C9, C00. I added tons of stickles to this image, as I wanted it to shimmer and shine! IRL it is so pretty and sparkly!!!!!
For the flower arrangements, I used some roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. I used white 25mm roses for the large ones. I sprayed two of them with Pashmina Glimmer mist to match the purple/magenta color, and then used my copic airbrush to spray the other two with BG75 and then added Diamond Glimmer Mist for sparkle. I then added some two-toned black 15mm roses and some frawnd branches punched out with my Martha Stewart punch. To the bottom flower, I added a vintage fan charm I had in my stash, and secured it with a vintage clothes pin. Perfect match!!!!
I hope you will join us with this week's sketch over at Midnight Madness. Cant wait to see what you create.

I used my new K&Company Julienne paperpad for this card. I love the soft, vintage feel of these papers, so pretty. The designs are just gorgeous. I loved these papers, as the soft blues are perfect for Jeans Gilli.
I used white Grossgrain ribbon for my ribbon, and added tons of prima pearl swirls, as well as large adhesive pearls to the corners.
I colored Gilli with copics

I added TONS of Wild Orchid flowers to the arrangement too. I used white Gardenias, blue 25mm roses, and two-toned blue 15mm roses. I also used my Martha Stewart frond punch for the branches.
I finished off the inside of the card very simply with more of the design paper and a simple ribbon.

Easter "mini"!!

I have been playing around with the mini Magnolia images, and came up with this fun and quick card. I made this card 4.5"x4.5", and think that these mini images are just perfect for that small of a card. I used mini Tilda dressed as Bunny, Mini Easter eggs, and mini Old Bench for this card. I think these minis are just adorable!
I used Prima Melody papers. I love the soft spring colors of this paper pad. I kept this card pretty much all pink to highlight those spring pastel tones!
Tilda as Bunny and the Old Bench were both colored with copics. These mini images color up so quickly, that is one thing I totally love about them. I cut this image out with my Magnolia Vintage tag Doohickey die, and edged it with Vintage Photo Distress ink.
Skin - E000, E00, E11
Bunny Suit - C1, C3, C00, R20
Bench - E57, E25, E50, E33, E35
I used pink Wild Orchid flowers on this card as well. I used 25mm, cherry blossoms, and 15mm pink flowers. I covered the flowers with stickles to give them some shimmer and shine. Rhinestones were also added to the corner of the sections to give more shine to the card. The butterflies were punched using my Martha Stewart Monarch punch.
The inside of the card was finished off with more of the design paper. I used the mini Easter Eggs and a Hero Arts Happy Easter sentiment. I love how these mini stamps look on the inside of cards with the sentiment, just looks finished and complete.

DCD Christmas Club - DT -Tilda with flowers

Our theme this week over Die Cut Dreams Christmas Club is to use a Tilda and some flowers on your card. So, this weeks challenge was a breeze for me, as those are two of my all time FAVE things!!!! So, here is my card for this week.
WOOOWWW I had such a blast making this card for this week. I pulled out all my fave things. I used Webster's pages, Waiting for Santa paper. I distressed all the edges with my Tim Holtz distress tool, and folded back some of the edges for even more distress. I just love the colors and designs of this paper pad. So, gorgeous!!!! For my Tilda, I chose Unwrapped Tilda. She is one of my faves. Oh lets be real, they are ALL my faves!! LOL
I colored up this cutie with copics:
Skin - E000, E00, R20, E11
Hair - E35, E31, Y23, E51
Clothes - R39, R29, R27, R24, R22, E42, W3, W5
Package - G20, G21, G24, E42, E43, E41, E40, R24, R27, R29
I used my Tim Holtz heart splatter stamp around the image background using Aged Mahogany distress ink.
I used another one of my fave things, seam binding, as the ribbon. I dyed it with Red Velvet Glimmer Mist and crinkled it while it was wet and still drying, that gave it the distressed and worn look. LOVE it! The flowers are all Wild Orchid Crafts, white 25mm roses which I sprayed with R39 and my copic airbrush and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist, two-toned brown cherry blossoms, and white 15mm roses which I sprayed with Wheatfields Glimmer Mist.
I hope you will break out those Christmas Tilda's and flowers this week and get a head start on those 2011 Christmas Cards. Come on and join us at Die Cut Dreams Christmas Club.

I followed the sketch over at Friday Sketchers for this layout, and just love how it turned out. The colors of these Webster's pages papers are just beautiful, and I LOVE coloring with this BlueGreen combo in my copic markers. So, I absolutely LOVED making this card. This week at Die Cut Dreams Christmas Club, we have a fantastic sketch by Karen to work with. We also have the challenge of using Lavender
and Lace along with the sketch. I LOVED making this card. This sketch is amazing, and the colors just came together.
I used many non-Christmas items on this card, so hope it still looks Christmassy. I have been struggling trying to find my Christmas mojo, as it is 76 degrees here and sunny. LOL. For my paper, I used some Prima Sweet Fairy paper. I layered it with white and lavender cardstock. I added a small white doily behind my image for added interest. The sentiment I printed off of my computer. For my image, I used this cute Sarah Kay image, My Sweet Lili. Isnt she adorable???
I colored her up with copics:
Skin - E000, E00, E11, R20

House of Gilli DT - Pastels and Bling

This week over at House of Gilli, we are working with pastels and bling. Anyone who knows me, knows I am NOT a pastel fan, so when I saw this challenge topic, I cringed a little. LOL But really, I was worried that I would not be able to pull it off, it was definitely a challenge. But, I really do LOVE how this card turned out. It did not change my mind regarding pastel colors, but I am a fan of these Gilli stamps, and think the card as a whole turned out great!
I found these new papers by K&Company at my local Michael's. They are called Sweet Nectar, and I got them in the 6x6. I really like this paper pad, as it has so many different color options. There are pastels, but there are also some bright springy colors too. Gotta love it!
I chose Burlesque Gilli for this week. Isnt she a doll??!!! I colored her up with copics:
Skin - E000, E00, R20
Hair - E25, E57, E59 (I added a green prima mini flower to her hair, isnt it cute!)
Clothes - R00, R0000, R81
Shoes - W1, W00
Feather - G20, G21, G24, YG03, R81, R01
Background - W00, R0000, R01, YG03, R81, E51
I stickled everything I could get my hands on on this image for the bling. I also used my Atyou Spica pen in clear over the smaller areas for some added sparkle.
Here is the artsy view of my card. I finished off the card with some Wild Orchid flowers. Pink 25mm roses, and two-tone light pink 15mm roses. I also added some pink Recollection pearl swirls. The big pink bow is recycled from a gift I received for Valentine's day from my hubby. The ribbon was so pretty, I could not think to throw it away. I think the HUGE bow finishes off the card well.
I kept the inside of my card VERY simple. I used more of the design paper, and another pastel pink flower I found in my stash. I left a blank sentiment spot to write a personal note.
I hope you pop on over to Stamping Scrapping and pick up some Gillis of your own to play with, they are adorable, and perfect for every occasion. Then come on over to House of Gilli and join us for our challenges. You get two chances to win the fantastic prizes when you use a Gilli stamp.

I used one of the digi images from our sponsor this week, Deedee's Digis. The DT got to choose what image they wanted to use, and I knew right away that I wanted to use this cute Cup of Joy. I love the flowers coming out of the tea cup, and the sentiments that come with the set are fabulous too!!! I cut out the image with Labels 10 Nesties, one of my faves!!!!
I colored my image with copics
Flowers - YR18, YR12, Y02, G20, G82, YG99, G24

I added stickles to the orange band on the coffee cup and to the center of the flowers for some added bling.
Here is the artsty view of my card. I used some of my 25mm roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. They were white and I used my Star Burst Stains from Lindy's Stamp Gang in Red Hot Poker Orange to color them orange to match the papers.
I used one of the sentiments from the Cup of Joy set to add to the inside of the card. I love this!!! It is just so pretty, an finishes off the card perfectly. I cut it out with my oval nesties

DCD Christmas Club - DT -Starlight, Starbright

Our challenge this week over at DCD Christmas Club is to use stars. Easy right?? Well, I struggled with this one, dont know why. Oh well. Here is my creation using stars for this weeks challenge.
I used American Crafts Holiday pack from a few years ago. I love the crispness of the papers in this collection, lots of white. The background paper had stars on it, so I chose to base the rest of the card on that.
I cut out some stars with my cricut and George and Basic Shapes cartridge on red and green cardstock. Then I added Diamond Stickles to the them for some sparkle! Shine on!!!!! LOL
The sentiment is from my temie, Lynn. Isnt is great???!!!!! I teamed it up with Starlight Tilda for my image, and I just completely ADORE her. She is so stinkin cute.
I colored Tilda with Copics
Skin - E000, E00, R20
