Here is my first attempt at a book-box. I first saw this tutorial on Michele Roos website, and I was dying to try it. With a little help from my friend, (Thanks Hope C.!!!), I was able to convert the measurements and create one of my own. It was pretty easy to create, I did struggle with glueing the "book pages" together, but after three attempts, I think I got it down now. LOL. Well, here goes, what do you think???
I followed the sketch for Sketch saturday for this project. I used my Magnolia Tilda Lace Doohickey die for all of the lace borders in this project, and inked all the cardstock edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink.
I used Dancing Party Tilda and Shabby Chic Fence for this image. I wanted to show a cute Spring scene.
I colored this image with copics, of course.
Skin - E000, E00, E11, R32, R20
Hair - E27, E25, E31, E53, E50
Dress - G24, G20, G82, G40, E35, Clear Spica pen
Shoes - E35, E33, E50
Fence - E57, E55, E25, E29, E50, E33
Grass - YG99, G24, YG03, G20, G82
Sand - E33, E35, E31
Here is the inside of the book. I added a pocket to the inside and put a mini tag in the pocket. The book part is the perfect size for adding a treat inside. I added a bag of Reese's Pieces. YYUUUMMMOOOOO, one of my faves!
I used my Magnolia Vintage Tag Doohickey Die to cut out this mini tag. I then stamped Secretive Tilda (mini) on the tag. I edged the tag with Vintage Photo. I colored her up with copics, and added more of that green silk ribbon.
I hope you enjoyed a peek at my book-box. I had a fun time making this project, and stepping out of my comfort zone a bit to try something new! Thanks so much for stopping by, your comments always mean so much to me!
