Starlight Wishes

Here is another quick post for today. I wanted to design a card for the Just Magnolia sketch challenge. I have been battling the flu this week, so it has been hard to create, but I wanted to try to get this one done before the deadline. I loved the sketch, and here is my take on it.
I used my new photo box to take the pics, I am still getting used to it, but LOVING it!!!! I need to wait until it is not rainy and gloomy here to really be able to see its magic, but, this is better than I had before, so I am loving it!!!!
I colored Starlight Tilda with copics:
Skin - E000, E00, R20
Hair - E51, E53, E35, E33
Dress - W1, 0, R0000, R000, RV11, R00
Tights - R0000, R000, R00, RV11
Wings and wand - Y00, Y02, E33, E35
I distressed the background that Tilda is on with Victorian Velvet Distress ink. The white prima flowers were glimmer misted with Cosmos and Sherbert Glimmer Mist. I then added some Prima Bling centers.

I have had such a blast this month being a guest designer for Caroline and her team, THANK YOU SO MUCH LADIES for having me!!! Well, This week, out challenge was Thank You cards. That was an easy challenge for me, as I have SO many thank you cards to send out after the holidays!!! This is one I loved making.
I decided to make an Easel Card, I LOVE making these. They are SUPER simple, and make the card just so much more fun! I used some yellow and pink patterned paper from K&Company, which I thought went so well with this cute Greeting Farm Image, Cheeky Cherry Pie! I just LOVE her, isnt she adorable!!!!
Sorry for the next few picture colors :( I am trying my hand with my new photography booth I got from Santa, and I cannot seem to get the lighting right. So sorry, the color is a bit dark. But, I will get it down, I promise, and my pictures will soon be MUCH BETTER!!!!!

Guest DT - Cute Card Thursday - Sketch

Here is my card for my Guest Design Team spot at Cute Card Thursday for this week. This week the challenge is a sketch, which was so much fun to work with. Here is my take on the sketch.
Isnt this sketch so stinkin cute??!!! I chose to stick with the brown and white colors, and think that this card is so cute for someone special. The patterned papers I used are from an American Crafts Christmas paper stack I have from last year, but I dont think that they look real christmassy, so I chose to use them in a non-traditional christmas card. So, this card could be used for really any occasion. I used one of my new sentiments from the Greeting Farm, and I just LOVE it.
I colored this image with copics. I distressed the circle behind the image with Distress inks in Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain. This image is Brother and Sister from this years Autumn release from Magnolia. I LOVE this image and think it is so versatile, and can be used for so many different occasions.
The brown satin bow just ties the whole card together. I added some prima flowers with pearls as my final finishing touch.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:

7 Kids College Fund - Anything Goes

Anything Goes - The letter C - C is for Circle

Easel Card with Secretive Tilda

Here is an Easel Card I made using Secretive Tilda. Isnt she just a doll? She is one of my faves!!! She is so versatile, she can be used for so many different occasions, and I just love how she colors up.I used some K&Company patterned paper I had in my stash, and paired it up with pink and cream cardstock. I was trying to keep this card as girlie as I could, and think these papers look great together. For the front of the card, I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers for this week. I LOVE this sketch, doesnt it look great!?!
I used some Roses from IamRoses.com in my arrangement. I painted the white roses with Vintage Pink and Sherbert Glimmer Mist. IRL they are UBER sparkly and shiny. I also added some small prima yellow and pink roses to the arrangement. The leaves were also from white ones from Prima that I glimmer misted with Olive Vine. I also added some Prima Say it in Pearls and Flowers for that added last touch of sparkle and girlieness!!!!
The inside section of the easel card I kept pretty simple. I wanted there to be lots of space for a nice long note! I used three more of the small prima roses as the stand for the card to sit on. They were the perfect touch for the inside of the card. There is also a cream silk ribbon and bow on the inside of the card top, but it does not show in the pics.
I colored Tilda with copics
Skin - E000, E00, R20
Hair - Y11, YR20, E53, E35
Shirt - R81, R83, R85
Overalls - B91, B95, B97
Flowers - G20, G21, G24, RV11, RV14
I added stickles to the roses to give them some added interest and sparkle.

Gift card holder - Fairy Dust Tilda

Here is a little Gift card holder I made as a gift for my mom to house her gift card for Christmas. I think it turned out so stinkin cute. It was difficult to photograph this, as we have been having TERRIBLE weather here, and it is hard to get the right angels to show this holder, so I did my best to show the details.
I found the directions for this gift card holder on Youtube, and it was very simple to do. I loved making this. I used a cream cardstock and my Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses patterned paper for the background.
The inside page has a Merry Christmas digi stamp and some prima flowers that I glimmer misted with Dazzling diamonds and Victorian Pink. I used a Fiskars scalloped edge punch for the inside panel that houses that giftcard.
Then I mounted another piece of cream cardstock on the back page to write the sentiment that I will write in before I give it to her. There is another small prima pink prima flower on the back page, although it is not shown in the picture.

DCD Christmas Club - DT - Purple and Orange

UGGGGHHH I really struggled with this challenge, but think that my card turned out ok. The Design team got the pleasure of working with images from my fellow teamie, Roberta's store. I do LOVE the image, but the color combo was a struggle for me, as purple and orange are not traditional Christmas colors. But, a challenge is a challenge, right???!!!! LOL
So, here it is. What do you all think????
I used a sentiment from another teamie of mine, Lynne, and her shop. Isnt it great? It says Winter wishes and Mistletoe Kisses. I thought it was perfect for this little lovely girl. So sweet
I colored her with copics.
Skin - E000, E00, R20, W1
Hair - Y11, Y20, YR20, E35, E53
Dress - V00, V01, V04, V06

Blue Ice Skating

Here is a card I have been working on for my hubby for Christmas. I LOVE this Magnolia Image, Tilda and Edwin Skating. This image is just to die for, so cute!!!! Sorry the pics are a little dark. It is dreary rainy day here in So Cal, and the lighting is pretty bad. I asked Santa for one of those photo tent thingies, so hopefully, I will be able to start taking better pics of my creations for you all.
Anyway, I chose to sick with Blue and white, with touches of silver for this card. I used some patterned paper from my stash to layer.
I kept this card pretty simple, since it is for my hubby. No flowers, or lots of bling here! I did add a white silk ribbon that I just tied into a knot for an added element. Then I added silver gems to the corners and along the sentiment strip. The sentiment was printed on my computer, then I cut it into a banner strip.
I colored these cuties with copics -
Skin - E000, E00, R02, R20
Hair - Tilda - Y11, YR21, E53, E35 Edwin - E51, E57, E59

Tilda Clothes - B0000, B00, B01, B02
Skates - W1, W3, W5, C3, C5
I added White Sparkly Fluff (LOVE this stuff) to the fur parts of both of their outfits. I also added Stickles to the ground to make it look like they were skating on ice.
