Picture frames

I also created a new picture frame tonight. I am making these as Christmas gifts for my family. This one is for my mother-in-law. She has a wonderfully bright sense of style (which I admire and love), so I thought these papers and colors were PERFECT for her. I am going to add a picture of my two sons. I hope that she LOVES it as much as I do.

Been Busy

I have not posted in a few days, but I have been very busy lately. I created this double page layout for my future sister-in-law for Christmas. I thought since she was marrying my only brother, I would make her special layouts for her engagement, shower, dress, wedding date, etc. So that she can create her own wedding scrapbook. She does not scrap, so I thought the beginning pages were the perfect Christmas gift for her. This is the first one, for their engagement photos. My little (and only) brother is very romantic. He took her out on a gondola ride in the middle of the bay and proposed. Then our family and her family all surprised them after their ride and met them for a wonderfully authentic Italian dinner. It was a perfect way to start their future life together, and I am SO excited for them. I hope that she likes these layouts. Please leave me any comments or suggestions. Thanks for looking

SOUS inspired

I was inspired by http://www.stuckonusketches.blogspot.com weekly challenge for this layout.

Picture frames

I made these picture frames as Christmas gifts for my parents and sister-in-law. I bought the unfinished frames from Michael's for $2.99. I then covered them with paper and embellishments.

First Blog

I have never done this before, however, I thought maybe I should join the next generation and start to document my life through crafts. As a mom of an 19 month old and a 2 month old, my crafty life, my "non-mommy" life begins at 8pm every night (bedtime). I have recently (4 months) started scrapbooking the life of my sons. I also have been knitting for many years. Which to many people, seems weird when I tell them, as knitting has always been seen as a "old lady's" past-time. I really enjoy scraspbooking and knitting. It is relaxing and allows my creative juices (which I previously did not know existed) to flow freely.
My favorite thing that I have done in the past few months is to take two scrapbooking classes. I have loved learning new techniques and seeing the creativity of others.
